What USDT on TON is

TON is the network Telegram is tied to, and USDT on TON is a token on that network, called a “jetton”, worth about one dollar. Many wallets support it, including Telegram's and Tonkeeper. An overview of the three networks is in chess with crypto.

Addresses that start with UQ or EQ

The same TON wallet can be shown in two address formats:

  • Those starting with EQ are the “bounceable” format.
  • Those starting with UQ are the “non-bounceable” format.
  • Both point to the same wallet: copy the address exactly as EonChess shows it.

Depositing from Telegram or Tonkeeper

With a TON wallet, the steps are:

  • On EonChess, open your wallet, choose TON and copy your address.
  • In your TON wallet, choose to send USDT, paste the address and check that the asset is USDT.
  • Send at least 5 USDT; the fee is paid with a small amount of TON.

Depositing from an exchange

If your exchange supports TON, choose that network when withdrawing USDT. Some exchanges call the network “TON” and others “The Open Network”: it is the same one. Before you confirm, check the beginning and the end of the address.

How to withdraw to a TON address

You choose TON, enter your address and confirm with the 6-digit code or your PIN. Before you confirm you will see the fee and the exact amount you will receive. The full steps are in how to withdraw USDT.

Fees and common mistakes

TON's fee usually runs from a fraction of a cent to a few cents, and it is paid in TON. EonChess charges nothing to withdraw. To compare it with the other networks, read USDT on BEP20, Solana or TON.

The most common mistakes are sending TON instead of USDT, sending on another network or sending less than 5 USDT. If it happens, write to support with the transaction hash.

Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Send only USDT, on the right network and to the exact address: if you get it wrong, the funds may be lost.
